Brotherly Love

There is something so sweet about watching your kids playing together and loving each other. I am glad I was able to capture the moment on camera because it did only last a moment. Soon Kade and Ty were fighting over Zack's attention and Zack was squished in the middle of it and I was pulling them all apart and then the crying began and the moment was quickly ruined. But there was a moment - and it was sweet!

This looks like a sweet picture - but I think Ty was thinking about how he was going to wrestle with Zack because right after I took the picture Ty rolled over and body slammed Zack! I think we are going to sign Ty up for the Little Dragons Karate this winter.

Tea Party at Grandma's

All of my family went up to my parent's house over Easter Weekend and all the little kids love to have tea parties with Grandma - even the little boys! Ty loved the little cups and pitchers.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day started out with really nice weather.  Rich played basketball from 5:30am - 8:30am.  I went for a run outside when he got home - it was perfect running weather.  We met up with some friends about 10am and the kids rode bikes and then we went to the soccer fields for the kids to practice tee ball, since they start this week.  We played outside until noon and then the rain set in and it rained the rest of the day.  We finished off the day by getting yummy Reed's Dairy ice cream!

Ty and his friend Caden chasing Caden's dog - Sasha!  Ty has come a long ways in getting over his fear of animals.   Ty is scared of pretty much everything - but he seems to slowly be getting better.  We have him using a spin tooth brush now as well.  He was terrified of those too!

Date Night

We went on a date with some of our friends Friday night.  We went out to dinner and then to the new Indiana Jones movie.  We had been watching the old Indiana Jones movies this last week since they were on t.v. and were excited to go see this new movie.  It was entertaining - but in my opinion not worth the $9.00 movie ticket price.  It had too much sci-fi in it for my liking.  Kade was crying because he couldn't come with us to see the movie - he is really into Indiana Jones right now - but it was too scary for kids, and one I won't be letting them watch.  But- it was still fun to go out with friends and have a night out.  

Nike + Challenge

I am doing my first Nike + challenge this weekend. The challenge is who can run the most miles over the 3 day weekend. Starting at 10pm tonight (Friday) and going until 10pm on Monday. Maybe I can win a graphic trophy of something on my nike + page!? Let the running begin

Madsen Update

We have lived in Idaho Falls for almost a year now and have enjoyed it - but we really miss all of our friends in Utah. It is nice living closer to both of our families though. Rich is working for Yellowstone Partners - A Wealth Management Group. I stay home with the 3 boys. Kade just turned 5 years old in April and starts kindergarten in the fall, and just learned how to ride his bike with no training wheels and loves it! He goes way too fast. Ty turned 3 in January and loves doing everything Kade does, he starts preschool in the fall, he loves to play any sport. Zack just turned 5 months old and is so fun. He loves to smile and laugh - he is such a good baby.

We just booked our trip to Disneyland for October. We are taking Kade and Ty and leaving Zack with someone still to be decided. We are all very excited and as you can see by the countdown clock - counting down the days until we go.

My Madsen Boys!!!

Here are some recent pictures of my boys!  Zack is now 5 months old and so much fun.  He smiles and laughs all the time.  He is such a good boy - we love having him part of our family.  

Kade learned to ride his bike with out training wheels a few weeks ago - Rich took them off one day and Kade just took off riding like he had always rode without training wheels.  The training wheels have now moved over to Ty's tiny little bike and so family bike rides are the new favorite evening event :)
